Stage your living room from the virtual high street.
We have never known a time like this, like it or not many of us have a lot of extra time on our hands. Now is the ideal oppourtunity to spend some time on your home. If your plans to sell have been dashed by Covid 19 then use this time to prepare your home ready for when things get back to normal and busy lives ensu.
I have chosen the colour scheme of grey and yellow – a modern classic grey is simple and calm while yellow is a fun accent colour. If these colours are not to your taste switch them around – choose a simple base colour and brighter, bolder accent. Lots of these products are available in different shades and prints.
Included are a few styling ideas – can you restyle your shelves? Accsesorise with nice books, mugs and magazines. Plants really do add life to a space there are examples of artificial plants but instead you could pick some flowers or folaige from your garden.
I have done a little research this week about what's available for us to buy online. I have been thinking about the living room and how important this room is when you sell a home. It encompassess the whole feel of your home and is a big deal when buying a house.
Your living room may be looking a bit tired (as mine is) after excessive use during the past six weeks. Or you may be a bit tired of it now that you are spending a lot more time in it.
Here is my visual guide to sprucing up your living room to appeal to buyers or to yourselves. Lets take some action and do something fun and exciting admist the worries and fears that surround us.
Remember...
You don't have to buy everything or anything – look at the moodboards for inspiration, perhaps you could shop your own home to create a similar look? If you are feeling creative you could upcycle something with paint, or your sewing machine. I'd normally suggest having a dig about in some charity shops but unfortunatly these are all closed but gumtree, facebook and ebay are still active so see what you can find with social distancing in mind.
Also very important, if you don't like it then don't buy it – simple.
At time of writing (5th May 2020) all items are currently in stock and available to order online.
