Budget Bathroom Makeover

I think peoples greatest apprehension about home staging is the cost. Here I have demonstrated that a lot can be achieved for very little cost. If you are considering making changes to your home contact me to find out how I can help you.

Making the best of it - Part 2

My Budget Bathroom Makeover

At the end of January I posted about my bathroom and my plans to reinvigorate this room on a small budget of £250. The project is now complete and I can share with you the results.

I spent a lot of time correcting and tidying up the tiling and woodwork - it’s not particularly obvious but this attention to detail demonstrates a good finish. A bad finish gives the impression of a bad job and can draw unwanted attention to the negative areas of a room. It’s very important that you tackle the small tasks, even if they are time consuming and tediuos.

My best investment was the new furniture – a large white gloss cupboard and matching wall mounted unit. I found them on gumtree they were virtually brand new and I managed to get them at a great price. Originally I had been looking for something more rustic but when you are shopping second hand you need to be flexible and open minded. Ultimatly I got a good quality product at a very good price.

To see a full breakdown of costs and the products I used have a look at my budget here. My total spend was only £325.31.

The room is completely transformed, I enjoy using it and it's lifespan has been increased. I may eventually completely redo it but for now I am very happy with the result.
