1. Mill Road
Smack bang in the City, Mill Road is a diverse multi-cultural avenue of Cambridge. Full of independent shops, businesses, and places to eat. There is never a dull moment on Mill Road. With Parkers Piece at one end, the Cambridge Central Mosque at the other and a world of delights waiting for you in-between.
You will find accommodation to suit all lifestyles and price points including budget friendly options.
Mill Road is not great if you have a car. Parking is very restricted. Be warned finding a parking space will take time and you’ll have to master parallel parking into very tight spaces!
Mill Road is perfect for those who really want to experience the heart and essence of Cambridge life. It is close to the train station and national express coaches for longer trips, however the best way to get around from Mill Road is by foot or bike.

2. Regent Street and Regent Terrace
Regents terrace harbours a collection of modern apartments right in the heart of the city. If you live here you’re likely to have a great view looking out over Parkers Piece. There are shops, restaurants and bars are all around you including the iconic University Arms Hotel – recently and very tastefully refurbished including Parkers Tavern with it’s amazing interior is not to be missed.
Parking is non-existent, but bikes work well here and buses and trains are easy to get too. You may be lucky to have a balcony but if not green space is right outside your window.
Parkers Piece is a Cambridge Hub, rarely a week goes by where there isn’t an event to enjoy. Winter Wonderland, Cambridge Food Festival, Live Music and more awaits. Within 5 minutes walk you are at the centre of Cambridge’s shop where you will find all the regular high street names and quite a few you won’t find elsewhere.
3. Chesterton
We can supply everything for your kitchen
Chesterton sits alongside the River Cam, you may be lucky to have river views from your new home. The river is lined with boat houses belonging to various organisations and university colleges – you could give rowing a go or perhaps just spectate.
Perfectly located for the Science Park and Cambridge North Station, with the City Centre also in easy reach. If you have a car you’re more likely to find parking here, however this is Cambridge and cycling is the way forward for most.
Chesterton has a few shops and pubs so you won’t always have to venture into the city centre. You’ll be lucky to have the famous Cambridge green spaces of Midsummer Common and Jesus Green within easy walking distance. Including Jesus Green Lido at 90 metres long is one of the longest swimming pools in the UK you could try some cold water swimming, thankfully there is a sauna to warm up in afterwards!
There is lots to do around Chesterton but perhaps the best way to soak up Cambridge here is a Sunday morning stroll along the river and breakfast at one of the many independent café’s.

Cycle paths line the roads, buses run regularly, and your nearest exit route is just beyond Addenbrookes.
Close to the Botanical Gardens and Newnham where the cows wander free, escaping to tranquil pastures is easy. For some culture you can continue on to the world-famous Fitzwilliam Museum, the newly opened Museum of Zoology and the historic Sedgewick Museum. The iconic Cambridge Backs are close by, here you will see many Cambridge University Colleges including Kings, Trinity and St Johns from a different perspective.
