Ivy House: a before and after staging transformation

Ivy House is a sizeable period property that needed a helping hand ready for it to be put on the market.

Nesh was approached by the client who wanted the property to be fully staged, which included a reconfiguration of rooms, new furniture, accessories, artwork and lighting.

Take a look at the before and after pictures below to see this staged transformation.

Grand living room

The grand living space had fantastic bones, with it’s feature fireplace, original flooring and a huge bay window to let in lots of natural light.

Nesh added in new sofas and chairs, which gave the room a contemporary update. Fresh artwork, lighting and accessories were also brought in to style up the room appropriately and make it look more appealing to potential buyers.

Formal dining room

As you can see, before Nesh got involved with this project, the dining room wasn’t functional.

Nesh collaborated with the client to make sure the vision matched up with theirs. A classic wooden dining table was added that can sit up to six people.

Nesh also dressed the table with crockery, cutlery and a bunch of faux flowers.

Additional living space

Similar to a lot of older properties, Ivy House had lots of space to work with but it wasn’t always straight forward or obvious what it should be used for.

Nesh reconfigured some of the rooms to make them more functional and so potential buyers could visualise themselves in them easier.

A different approach was taken in this additional living space and rather than going for more classic pieces, Nesh switched it up and opted for a more modern look with a geometric patterned armchair, footstool and cushions.

Characterful kitchen

The kitchen is one of the stand out rooms in this property. It has a statement red aga, a sizeable island and is finished to a high standard.

Nesh simply dressed this room and added the finishing touches to make it look aspirational. This included chopping boards, utensils, crockery and plants.

Serene bedroom

Nesh wanted this bedroom to feel warm, cosy and inviting. It’s not a massive space but Nesh was still able to incorporate a double bed and a matching pair of bedside tables.

The character that this bedroom boasts does a lot of the talking, so Nesh wanted to work with a subtle colour palette that didn’t take anything away from the original character.

New bedding, soft furnishings and artwork all in green makes this bedroom feel fresh and welcoming.

Family bathroom

This bathroom had been recently renovated and didn’t need much to bring it to life.

Nesh incorporated some bright green towels to add a pop of colour as well as some luxury bathroom products and plants to make it feel like an aspirational, lived in property.
